Whether you’re starting your day or seeking a relaxed lunch spot, this café stands out for its thoughtful menu and sunlit ambiance.

The culinary offerings at Caffe Massarella truly celebrate hearty, wholesome British flavors alongside comforting café classics. From a lovingly prepared Full English breakfast brimming with sizzling sausages, crispy bacon, and perfectly cooked eggs to their signature Chicken Pie of the Day steeped in rich, homemade gravy, each dish is a flavorful journey of home-cooked satisfaction. Coffee lovers can savor expertly crafted drinks such as a velvety Latte Macchiato, smooth Cortado, or the ever-popular Flat White, praised repeatedly by regulars for its rich aroma and bold taste.

One of the standout offerings is the inventive Turkey Dinner wrap, combining tender turkey, savory stuffing, and tangy cranberry in a soft Yorkshire pudding wrap—a unique twist that perfectly balances tradition with creativity. Light bites like the Ham and Cheese Panini and freshly baked Mixed Fruit Muffins provide delightful options for a midday treat or afternoon tea alongside their extensive selection of hot drinks and cakes.

The atmosphere at Caffe Massarella is equally enticing. Went here with my fiancé and great aunt and uncle. Sat by the window in the sun. Nice comfy seating and relaxed vibes. Nice interior to this cafe / restaurant; Looks as if it's been updating. Few seats outside that allow dogs. The Menu has breakfast, lunch, hot drinks and cakes. There is a smaller till and cake counter at the front and round the back is more cakes and the main menu dinner section. Some staff are friendly, others seem a bit miserable and don't use polite "would you like" they use "what do you want" "hot is over there not here" Also you have to take your drinks and cutlery to the table yourself. They do bring hot meals over though. Don't have to wait long to be served. Prices are average. Don't have to book a table. Toilets available

My husband & I visited on 22nd October and enjoyed a lovely lunch. We loved the friendly atmosphere and would like to mention an extremely pleasant lady called Trish. Trish looked after us so well, finding us a table, bringing cutlery and condiments over, and even when my husband had cause to make a small complaint, Trish dealt with it in an extremely quick and professional manner. Suffice to say, we will certainly visit again when out that way, and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Revisited 06/11/25 and enjoyed a Turkey, stuffing and cranberry Yorkshire pudding wrap. £11.50 each and £2.90 for a tea. Not the cheapest but as there is only Massarella and the Chatsworth Kitchen so choice at the Peak Village is limited.

Brought my mother here for lunch on 17th March. Staff were lovely, especially lady on drinks and ice cream counter who kindly reserved a table for me once I explained my mum was heading there using a walker and was very slow moving. She needed to be sure she had a seat once she arrived. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced.
